the annual Acton Fall Fair
by ActonFallFair, over 5 years agoA local tradition that is over 100 years old - the Acton Fall Fair is a great community event. Every September there are hundreds of volunteers who put together an amazing fair - highlighting agriculture with 4H events, horse and cattle shows and tractor pulling competitions. There is a baby show, horseshoe pitching competition, homecraft entries and of course the midway. It's always a fun time - and we are lucky to have the support of a wonderful community and so many local businesses! The beer tent is a popular spot to sit and have a drink while catching up... Limehouse Kiln Walking Trail
by Lloyd, over 5 years agoOur family has enjoyed numerous walks along the Limehouse Kiln trail during the last couple of years. It provides such a variety of experiences with bridges over water and a ladder to reach the upper portion of a magical tree and moss covered rock formation. This walk provides a wonderful break from our much to hectic day to day activities. Thank you

Acton Santa Parade and Christmas Market
by Lloyd, over 5 years agoEach year I look forward to the third Saturday in November when the Acton downtown becomes the site of an exciting community celebration. The annual Fire Fighters' Santa Claus Parade proceeds down Mill Street with floats, bands, and costumed marchers delighting the spectators, young and old, along the way. Now a tradition, everyone heads to see what seasonal treasures and treats the vendors have prepared for the Christmas Market at the Acton Town Hall Centre.

The Library
by jamiemarchant, over 5 years agoThese days I spend a lot of my time at the library, this is because our library is a sort of community centre! They have all sort of great stuff for all ages, check out the events calendar: https://calendar.hhpl.on.ca/default/Month.
Personally, I have enjoyed events like "FanFest", Virtual Reality, Escape Rooms and they also have services like a 3D Printer and access to historical documents. The best part is, most of the stuff they offer is free to all residents of Halton Hills!

Shopping and enjoying life at Toronto Premium Outlets!
over 5 years agoI remember a beautiful spring day when I was enjoying the weather with a little jaunt around the Toronto Premium Outlets. Stopped to enjoy a cappuccino and a cupcake at the cupcake shop. I often take little pictures like this to remind me of special, simple moments.

Living Experience
over 5 years agoI moved to Acton about 8 years ago and what attracted me to this small town was many things, and in short was the community. Caring, Involved and aware people that actually are involved with things that matter. A feeling of being part of the community and the goal to keep this small town feel. The community may not want concentrate on a single event or time of which they can offer an experience but encourage that the town should offer an atmosphere that provides a continual experience with lush parks, filled with flowers and trees, places for the community... Apple picking at Chudleigh's
over 5 years agoApple picking is usually a day of fun. It is so much more than just the harvesting of apples, and has a lot more to do with what you make of the setting, and with whom you go. For me personally, apple picking evokes thoughts of spending good times with family and friends.
