Roads 2022: Pavement Management and Collector/Arterial Program

Each year, the Engineering and Construction Section of the Transportation and Public Works Department delivers Pavement Management and Capital Works construction programs to renew and improve infrastructure across Halton Hills. Pavement Management has been an annual local resurfacing program since 2003 and the Collector/Arterial resurfacing program, focusing on upgrading collector and arterial roads in Halton Hills, is scheduled to continue in 2022 with additional projects moving forward.
Starting in the summer 2022, select streets will benefit from road resurfacing and road reconstruction where needed. This work will be managed and administered by the Engineering and Construction Section, Transportation and Public Works Department.
The Town of Halton Hills is planning to perform improvements to the following streets in Ward 3:

Project Summary by Street:
Albert Street, Guelph Street to McNabb Street - Resurfacing
Full depth asphalt removal, curb and sidewalk repairs in pre-identified areas and full width asphalt resurfacing. Restoration of driveways (full aprons, or full width to the damaged limit) all damaged grassed areas with topsoil and sod.
Chapel Street, Guelph Street to Dayfoot Drive – Minor Reconstruction
Full depth asphalt removal, curb repairs and sidewalk repairs in pre-identified areas in areas and add new curb. Replace storm sewer and full width asphalt. Restoration of driveways (full width to the damaged limit) all damaged grassed areas with topsoil and sod.
Dayfoot Drive, West End to Chapel Street – Resurfacing
Full depth asphalt removal, curb, storm sewer and sidewalk repairs in pre-identified areas and full width asphalt resurfacing. Restoration of driveways (full aprons, or full width to the damaged limit) all damaged grassed areas with topsoil and sod.
15 Side Road, 300m E of Trafalgar Road to Main Street – Resurfacing
Mill (remove) top asphalt lift, base asphalt repairs as required. Repave asphalt full width of road. Curb repairs in pre-identified areas. Restoration of driveways (full aprons, or full width to the damaged limit) all damaged grassed areas restored with topsoil and sod / seed.
Maple Avenue, Mountainview Road to River Road – Resurfacing
Full depth asphalt removal, curb, storm sewer and sidewalk repairs in pre-identified areas and full width asphalt resurfacing. Restoration of driveways (full aprons, or full width to the damaged limit) all damaged grassed areas with topsoil and sod. Addition of linemarking identifying shared active transportation facility. Implementation of traffic calming measures will be included.
Maple Avenue, Trafalgar Road to Main Street – Active Transportation and Resurfacing
Remove existing islands, base asphalt repairs as required and resurfacing of surface asphalt. Curb and catch basin repairs in pre-identified areas. Addition of bike lane and active transportation facilities through-out the corridor. Restoration of driveways (full aprons, or full width to the damaged limit) all damaged grassed areas with topsoil and sod.
Mountainview Road, John Street to Maple Avenue – Resurfacing
Full depth asphalt removal, curb, storm sewer and sidewalk repairs in pre-identified areas and full width asphalt resurfacing. Restoration of driveways (full aprons, or full width to the damaged limit) all damaged grassed areas with topsoil and sod. Active transportation options currently under review.
Sargent Road, Mountainview Road to End – Minor Reconstruction
Full depth asphalt removal, storm sewer and sidewalk repairs in pre-identified areas and full width asphalt resurfacing. Full curb removal and replacement. Location and specifics of Low Impact Development being reviewed. Add linemarking to define the traveled lane. Restoration of driveways (full aprons, or full width to the damaged limit) all damaged grassed areas with topsoil and sod.
