Each year, the Engineering and Construction Section of the Transportation and Public Works Department delivers Pavement Management and Capital Works construction programs to renew and improve infrastructure across Halton Hills. Pavement Management has been an annual local resurfacing program since 2003.

Are the recommendations from the storm water master plan being incorporated to the resurfacing work for Sommerville rd?

Thank you for your question. While some improvements are identified in the area, the Stormwater Master Plan has not yet been finalized or adopted by Council. The area in question is also further down the list of priorities identified in the draft Master Plan document.

If adopted, the recommendations made by the Master Plan will need to be prioritized in accordance with available budgets, reviewed and approved by Council on an annual basis, and generally focused on highest priority first.

With that said, the Town is following its planned resurfacing program to improve pavement condition on Somerville Road in the interim and in line with the Town’s asset management approach.
