The Town of Halton Hills is proposing traffic calming measures for the Stewarttown neighbourhood. An operational safety review was initiated in response to numerous residential concerns regarding excessive speeding, road safety, and aggressive driving. As a result, a proposed traffic calming plan has been developed to enhance safety for all road users.

Road safety is a shared responsibility. Learn how to file a Road Watch Report and Traffic Concern Report to the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) and help keep our roads safe.

    Staff will present a report to Council on June 22, 2026, about traffic calming in the Stewarttown neighbourhood. The report recommends that Council approve moving forward with the proposed traffic calming measures identified in the study. Report No. TPW-2026-016 outlines the recommended improvements. Read the full report and supporting attachments (Attachment 1 and Attachment 2).

    Members of the public can request to appear as a delegation if they would like to speak before Council or submit comments via email in advance of the meeting. Written comments submitted in advance are shared with Council and become part of the public record.

    To speak at the meeting, you must complete an Application to Speak before Council. Requests must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. one business day before the meeting, in accordance with the Town’s Procedure By-law.
