The Power of MANY - Reaching Greatness Together!

As an active member of the community I have helped many organizations, and key community initiatives emerge as a result of my interest to serve. I have found over the years that my efforts truly had greater impact when aligned with groups/others with common interests. This past year with Pandemic onset, I aligned with the Rotary Club of Georgetown, which I am an active proud member and together we decided to rally to recognize the Front Line Health Workers at Georgetown Memorial Hospital by donating a Mothers Day Cookie Basket and donated a lunch to the staff at the Mountainview Residence. It was truly rewarding to see their generosity. In addition, we collectively outreached to the other service clubs in Halton Hills to rally funding for gift cards for Links2Care.
To me personally, Volunteering is so rewarding, as there is an intrinsic value you gain when you give. It has allowed me to expand my reach in meeting new people in the community, and gather knowledge and learning. Now is the time I am finding volunteering is more essential now than ever - We Rise when lifting others
I encourage members of our community to get engaged in a service club to find an initiative you are passionate about, offering you a place of belonging that values your skills, experiences you can offer.
The end result is a powered community of neighbours, friends, family alike giving a bit of their time to an initiative of interest with others to collectively "power of many" to improve.
