Consultation has concluded
The Halton Hills Fire Department is a composite fire department meaning that it consists of career firefighters who staff stations 24/7 and volunteer firefighters who provide additional support when needed.
The Town of Halton Hills is developing a new Fire Master Plan (FMP) to ensure the department continues to meet the needs of the community, advance strategic objectives, and plan for future growth. The FMP is predicated on the use of the 'Three Lines of Defence' model to support fire risk reduction and mitigation. The three lines of defence are:
Public Education and Prevention.
Fire Safety Standards and Code Enforcement.
Emergency Response.
The FMP will be a strategic document to guide Halton Hills Fire Department over the next five years. The FMP will be informed by legislation, industry best practices, Town and Fire Department personnel, local stakeholders, and community input.
Please share your input and experiences by taking the survey. Results will be shared with Town Council and considered in the development of the new Halton Hills FMP.
