The Town is undertaking a study to assess the current supply of employment land and identify whether or not the existing supply is appropriate to meet the needs of its growing population.
The Growth Plan provides a policy framework to protect employment areas and support evolving economic activities to accommodate growth and prosperity in the Greater Golden Horseshoe.
The study takes into account the need to address population growth assumptions and scenarios for employment forecasting, particularly with respect to population-related employment. This analysis will provide critical input to the employment land component of the Region of Halton Official Plan Review exercise currently underway.
