- A bench with back and arms
- A concrete sidewalk with parking space for strollers or mobility devices
- Deciduous trees for shade
- Picnic benches (not shown) will also provided for movable seating options
Here is the final plan rendering;Based on your feedback the final design for the playground replacement will include the following highlights;
- 4 Swings - 2 belt, 1 accessible, 1 tot
- A snake pole climber
- A gallagher the grasshopper spring toy
- Talk tubes
- A telescope panel
- A tic-tac-toe activity panel
- Beat blocks and bongo panels
- A stand 'n' spin motion event
- A loop rail overhead climber
- A pogo pod
Here are the final playground renderings;The final design strikes a balance between, toddler, junior and senior user needs, offering a range of developmentally appropriate activities within the accessible structures.
Through the public consultation there were some questions regarding the possibility of having larger park features such splash pad elements or a zip-line included as part of this project. Please note that the Town's standard is to include these larger park features within community level parks, where adequate facilities and infrastructure are available, and would not be considered for a park of this size.
Our anticipated timeline is for playground replacement to be complete by Fall 2021.
