Bike Month 2025

Bike Month is an opportunity for people to try riding a bike for the first time, learn new skills, or simply have fun and connect with new people. It’s taking the time to rekindle the youthful magic of exploring your neighbourhood by bike or share that joy with the next generation of bike riders. Bike Month is a celebration of cycling.

Bike to Workday

Join us for Bike to Work Day as we kick off Bike Month with a fun, active, and social celebration on June 5th!

We're inviting all staff to take a quick survey to let us know if you plan to attend. Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or just curious about trying it out, we encourage you to come out and join us for this fun event.

CAN’T BIKE TO WORK?

No problem! If you’d like to participate but don’t have a bike, we’ve got you covered. Thanks to Lime Micromobility, we’ll have a limited number of e-bikes available for staff to try out. Just select the e-bike RSVP option in the survey to express interest. Please note that this will not reserve you a

Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • Free Bike Month T-shirt for all participants (while supplies last)
  • Group photo before we roll out
  • A friendly group ride loop around Town — open to riders of all comfort levels; led by Councillor Fogal
  • Finish at the Georgetown Fairground for a social gathering with:
    • Prize draws and giveaways
    • A BBQ lunch with refreshments
    • Time to connect with coworkers and enjoy the outdoors

It’s a casual, welcoming event aimed at promoting active transportation and community spirit — whether you’re a regular cyclist or just want to try it out for the day! We ask staff to please fill out the survey below to ensure we have enough T-shirts, food and drinks for everyone who plans to attend.
