Project Update – July 2026

Please be advised that on Monday July 13, 2026, Town Council voted to adopt Official Plan Amendment 63 (Georgetown GO Protected Major Transit Station Area). At the same meeting, Council voted to defer a decision on Official Plan Amendment 64 (Georgetown GO Station Area/Mill Street Corridor Secondary Plan) to the next term of Council.
At this time, Town staff are preparing to submit OPA 63 to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing for final approval. Notice of the Minister’s Decision will be made public as soon as it becomes available.
Town staff will bring OPA 64 back to Council for recommendation at a later date under the next term of Council. Any updates on this process will continue to be provided on this page.
