I thought Mountainview road from Maple to John was supposed to be done in 2023. Was that the schedule and it got moved?

george wilson asked 3 months ago

    Thank you for your inquiry.

The resurfacing of Mountainview Road from John Street to Maple Avenue is part of a contract issued later in 2022 with an anticipated completion August 2023, weather permitting.  There are a number of streets involved in the program started in 2022 which paving has carried over into 2023 as anticipated.

If you have any further questions regarding the planned construction, please contact me directly terih@haltonhills.ca.

Are there any plans of side walk or bike lane on tenth line. This is required as due to high speed traffic, walking or biking is not possible.

    Renu asked 3 months ago

    Thank you for your inquiry.

There are no plans to add sidewalk or bike lanes on Tenth Line as part of this years resurfacing.

The Town’s capital construction program is in alignment with the Halton Hills Active Transportation Master Plan (ATMP), which determines locations to implement cycling infrastructure.  Within the ATMP there is no recommendation noted for bike lanes on Tenth Line.

When will the construction on Pennington Crescent begin and approximately how long will it last? "Summer" as mentioned is somewhat vague. Thanks.

    Louann asked 3 months ago

    Thank you for your inquiry.

Pennington is part of a joint project with Halton Region who will be replacing the watermain and overseeing administration of the project.  Further communication will be provided by the Region of Halton regarding the timing of the project following the tendering process.  Project times vary because there are multiple streets involved and the contractors will be moving around between the streets designated for repair and upgrade.  Pennington is part of a project which will occur over the 2023 and 2024 construction seasons.

If you have further questions please reach out to me directly at terh@haltonhills.ca, thank you.
