Join us for the second OPR Open House and Interactive Art Session

The Town of Halton Hills is holding its second Open House for the Official Plan Review! Participants will have the opportunity to attend a brief presentation (beginning shortly after 6 p.m.) followed by one of two options:

Drop-in open house and activities (2 hrs): Interactive stations and workshop portion to provide feedback on visioning and priorities.
An interactive art session (2 hrs): Participate in a clay tile workshop focused on visioning, led by artist Ingrid Mayrhofer. The session will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, with a capacity of 20 registered participants.

Save the Date:
Tuesday, October 21, 2025, 6-8:30 p.m. at Acton Town Hall (19 Willow St. N, Acton).

Space for the interactive art session is limited, registration is required.
The Town has also arranged a FREE ActiVan shuttle for residents in need of alternate transportation to the event. The shuttle departs from Gellert Community Centre at 5:40 p.m., with the return shuttle departing from Acton Town Hall at 8:30 p.m.

Drop-in Open House:
Following the brief presentation, you are invited to drop by our activity room. Engage in discussions with the project team and other participants on the guiding vision for 2051 and participate in activities focused on key themes, including:

Complete communities
Transportation & servicing
Agricultural & rural areas
Culture & cultural heritage
Growth
Climate & the natural environment

Art Session:
Get your creative juices flowing! Join an interactive art visioning session featuring artist Ingrid Mayrhofer. Consider one of the above key themes and work with clay to express ideas related to how you live, work, play, and contribute to the Halton Hills community. Each participant will create 1 or more clay tiles to be included in a larger public art piece, creating a mosaic of community voices describing their vision of Halton Hills’ future. If interested, bring your ideas, in written format, photographs or sketches, and we will give them shape and form together.
