The Town thanks all community members who participated in the Eighth Line Environmental Assessment public consultation. We have heard your concerns and want you to feel assured that all efforts will be made to minimize impacts. Receiving public input and feedback on this preliminary preferred concept plan as you have provided is just what the study team needs to prepare the best possible design concept that addresses impacts.
As we move forward with the refinement of the design concept, specific areas will be reviewed to limit the necessary widening and impact on property owners to accommodate the road widening. The period for receiving comments on the second Public Information Centre engagement materials closed on June 30, 2020. The study team will compile all the comments and questions and will provide responses in the coming weeks.
