The Town of Halton Hills is preparing a Secondary Plan for the Brownridge Premier Gateway Phase 3 West area to help guide future development. The study area for this project applies to an expansion to the Premier Gateway Employment Area north of the Premier Gateway Phase 1B lands, between Sixth Line and Eighth Line through the approval of Regional Official Plan Amendment 49.
A key focus of this project will be to determine an appropriate land use plan for the employment lands, under the guidance of the Provincial Planning Statement. In order to determine land use permissions and policies, transportation and servicing needs of the current (and future) population will be studied. Cultural heritage and urban design will also be studied in support of a preferred land use plan for the study area.
A Scoped Subwatershed Study will also be completed to confirm the extent of the Natural Heritage System within the Secondary Plan area. This study will serve as the basis for protection of natural heritage resources within the expanded Premier Gateway.
